Manzana managed to validate its position and meet the expectations accumulated at its recent presentation event where we finally met the iPhone 14.
But perhaps the pair of models that most stole the attention of all viewers and potential customers was the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
A few days ago we made an extensive comparison here at FayerWayer to check the real differences between both models, highlighting the jump in dimensions between the screen of each variant and the better battery.
But we made this comparison because it has reached a point where the variations of models and names that are so similar are already beginning to generate confusion among consumers.
More or less in a similar way to what has been happening with Chinese brands of the Xiaomi style in recent years. Where the names of the models and their nomenclatures are increasingly confusing.
It is perhaps for this reason that Apple would be thinking of an important strategy: eliminate the Pro Max family to adopt another name that is more distinguishable.
Apple would make a major change with the iPhone 15 Ultra
A report from the renowned financial analyst Ming Chi Kuo (via Know Your Mobile) Apple would have started the machine to launch a new phone next year under the name of iPhone 15 Ultra.
The curious thing here is that this model would be intended to replace what would be the iPhone 15 Pro Max. And if the story sounds familiar to you, it’s because it would be exactly the same as what they did with the iPhone mini and Plus model this year.
For many, Apple is already on the tightrope for having launched an iPhone 14 with, let’s say, low levels, minimal inspiration.
Since the base model did not have substantial upgrades and only the main camera sensor was improved and the notch was eliminated, as was the case with Android for many years, in the Pro family. But other than that, the phone is almost identical to the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s 2023 iPhone 15 series will follow this trend that we saw at the last Apple Event, increasing the distance between the most robust and basic variants.
The analyst report claims that Apple will change the name of its top-of-the-line flagship, the Pro Max variant. So in the next generation we would not have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but an iPhone 15 Ultra, with many exclusive features that will not be available on the iPhone 15 Pro.
The size of the battery and the screen would be the main difference factor for sure. But there would be more on the way.
