As in previous years, Apple continues to fight leaks of its new products around the world, prompting the company to notify several of the leakers in China about the legal consequences their actions could have, and how. These affect third-party companies and users.
However, at the moment this doesn’t seem to stop insiders who keep leaking details about upcoming iPhones, with the most recent being the video that was shared on Twitter revealing what is apparently a shipment of official cases for the next iPhones.
The video (which was re-uploaded by another user after the original disappeared) lasts just a few seconds, it shows several boxes of cases for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which would confirm the name of the next phones of the Cupertino signature.
The case also confirms that it is compatible with MagSafe technology.
An important detail to consider is that the source is not known in the middle of the leaks, so its reliability is in doubt.
IPhone 13 or iPhone 2021?
For a few months there have been rumors about the possibility that Apple will stop naming its phones with a number in succession, so it would instead decide to bet on the launch year. That is, instead of being called iPhone 13 it could be baptized as iPhone (2021).
A survey conducted by SellCell revealed that 1 in 5 Apple users (18.3%) are triscaidecaphobic, that is, they are afraid of the number 13. Some of them for cabalistic reasons.
On the other hand, 74% of those surveyed would like Apple not to name its upcoming phones “iPhone 13”. According to the survey, 38% agree that the best name would be iPhone 2021.
