So it’s official, Apple’s iPhone 11 is now made in India, at the Foxconn factory, a big first for the country!
Because yes, although Apple devices are emerging there, it is the first time that a high-end smartphone has been assembled on the premises.
The iPhone 11 now made in India
Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 11, is now eligible for manufacture in India at a Foxconn factory near Chennai. To take it even further, Apple is considering increasing its production in stages and may even consider exporting iPhone 11 phones made in India, in order to alleviate dependence on China.
In addition, iPhones made in China are sold in India, at a price unfortunately too high, especially because of import taxes.
By building them within the country, Apple gains 22% which is the country’s barrier to sell products from abroad. A previous report indicated that Apple could consider producing up to $ 40 billion in smartphones in India, thanks to Wistron and Foxconn.
