Know the care you should have with the intimate hygiene of a baby.
One of the cares with which you should have special attention in a baby is in her intimate hygiene since they are a little more likely to have infections if she is not properly groomed, especially when changing the diaper.
In order for you to groom your girl correctly, take note of the following recommendations:
Clean from front to back: this way you can prevent the presence of stools that can settle in the vulva and cause vulvovaginitis. In this way, you also take care that bacteria from the intestine do not proliferate.
Use toilet paper: preferably it is abundant, soft, without aroma or colors. The genital area will be clean until the paper is unstained. You can use wet wipes, but the last cleaning should be paper to remove moisture residues.
Avoid irritating products: at bath time, do not use salts, soaps and lotions with strong aromas and dyes. Use only special neutral baby soap. Also, do not use sponges to clean the genital area.
Be careful with the diaper: try to keep the folds clean. Otherwise, an infection is more likely.
Protective cream: do not apply too much, only the necessary one and close to the anal area.
If you notice any dryness in your little girl’s genital area, we recommend that you check her diet and discuss it with her pediatrician.
