“With a hybrid format, this great festival continues and has established itself as one of the five most important interdisciplinary cultural events in the world,” said the Governor.
The promotion of local talent, he added, is essential in this festival, therefore, of the 55 national artistic groups that will participate in this edition, 18 are from Guanajuato; Of the 1,865 participating artists, 495 are from Guanajuato, who will offer expressions of music, theater and dance. And in addition, exhibitions will be presented in museums, galleries and other cultural spaces in the municipalities of Guanajuato, Salamanca and León.
Present at the presentation of FIC 49 were the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero; the General Director of the FIC and Cultural Circuits, Mariana Aymerich Ordoñez; the Secretary of Culture of Coahuila, Ana Sofía García Camil; the Cultural Counselor of the Cuban Embassy in Mexico, Waldo Leyva; the Municipal President of Guanajuato, Alejandro Navarro Saldaña and the Academic Secretary of the University of Guanajuato, Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz.
