After the fall of more than six hours of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp on October 4, the social network again has connectivity problems. For a few minutes the stories and private messages have stopped loading normally and complaints have begun to surface on other platforms such as Twitter. Updated. The incident lasted just over 30 minutes
Just a few minutes ago Instagram has started to have connection problems all over the world. Initially the stories have stopped working and then uploading messages or photos has started to fail. It is still too early to predict whether it is an important incident like the one that happened last Monday, but it is surprising that in just four days the problems will recur.
What happened on Monday?
As usual, the social network was silent about the real causes of the problem but everything points to a problem in the BGP protocol update that caused a disconnection from the Internet of all services. Many unknowns around the incident considering that Facebook capitalizes on the stock market more than 930,000 million dollars and it took about seven hours to solve it. Another of the theories that was circulating on the network had to do with a possible cyber attack after the latest revelations of a former employee who claimed that the social network only thought about money and did not care at all about security or integrity of the users.
WhatsApp and Facebook work normally
At the moment the problem is limited exclusively to Instagram but there are many users who are complaining on Twitter and in practically all languages, which confirms that it is a global connectivity problem.
At the moment the only solution is through patience and it must be borne in mind that we are talking about a platform with more than 2,000 million users worldwide.
