The world of Genshin Impact is made up of seven main nations, and so far players have had the option to explore Mondstadt, Liyue, and the Inazuma Islands. With the Inazuma arc coming to an end, a new main region is expected to be just around the corner.
version 2.6 of Genshin Impact has added a new region called Chasm. Although version 2.7 has not yet arrived, the current beta phase 2.8 has revealed that there will be a new region in the 2.8 update.
A popular filter Genshin Impact called Genshin Blank has shared an interesting image of a new region that should arrive in version 2.8. Genshin Impact introduced a map expansion pattern with every other update. Since Enkanomiya was released in 2.4 and Chasm in 2.6, it is likely that the 2.8 update will bring a new part of the map.
The new region is called the Twinning Isles, and it is made up of numerous small islands. The image shows a model of a castle that is located on a couple of cliffs, and according to the leak, players will be able to access its interior.
Multiple leaks claim that this new region will be limited to Genshin Impact version 2.8 only, which will be similar to last summer’s Golden Apple Archipelago event. It was a part of the Summer Island Quest, which was part of Genshin Impact update 2.6. The Golden Apple Archipelago was a limited-time zone located to the east of the Mondstadt region. The event is considered a fan favorite, and was divided into four different acts.
