The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) announced through its official social networks that they will extend the credit conversion period of Times Minimum Wage (VSM) in pesos until January 10, 2023.
The extension of the term to access the program Shared Responsibility search avoid balance increases and the monthly installment of VSM credits derived from inflation.
Likewise, this measure wants to eliminate “unpayable credits originated in the past” and thereby provide support to the economy of Mexican families.
The Infonavit released a statement stating that due to the high demand from users to carry out the procedure, it was decided that the update of the balances according to the Infonavit Mixed Unit (UMI) It will be done between January 11 and 13, 2023.
The agency reported that only in December more than 332,000 people made the change of Minimum Wage Times (VSM) to pesos of their mortgage loans, accessing monthly installments and fixed balances for the rest of the life of the loan and better interest rates, between 1.9% and 10.45%, depending on the income of the people.
He also announced the results of the program from 2019 and 2022, which are:
- 770,746 borrowers benefited from the restructuring.
- More than 71 billion pesos of discounts to the balance.

The conversion of credits it is done from the platform My Infonavit Account following these steps:
- Access My Infonavit Account
- Go to the section that says My Credit and then to the Shared Responsibility tab
- Enter entity and zip code of the dwelling in question
- Press process and click on Shared Responsibility
- Confirm the process, save and print the acknowledgment
The institution says that people can still go to the Infonavit Service Center closest to their home, so that they can give them the necessary advice on how to carry out their procedure, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
