Despite being one of the most anticipated video games of last year, Halo: Infinite has had a rocky launch, as it feels like an incomplete product that was going to receive constant updates to increase its content. However, this new content is taking a long time to arrive and the community is getting more and more impatient, so a game developer decided to respond.
In a Reddit post, a user said that he would like 343 Industries acknowledge that there are issues delaying progress on new Halo Infinite features, to which the Director of Communications, Brian ‘ske7ch’ Jarrad, answered. However, her response only upset the community more.
We are certainly not happy that we cannot meet the expectations of the players and the community, it is a difficult situation that will take time for the team… Right now the focus is on Season 2 and we will share more about this in the coming weeks. In the meantime there is a lot going on for production planning, costing, contracting, etc, which doesn’t lend itself to regular updates.”

Although Jarrard hoped that the transparency of his response would calm the community’s anxiety, his comment backfired, as players can’t believe that 343 Industries is still in the planning and contracting phase for new Halo: Infinite content.
“Bro, no offense but how come your studio of hundreds of developers has a hard time releasing new maps, new modes and cosmetics?”, says one player in the comments, while another says: “Typically plans and projects are planned for things to be delivered months or years later. There is no way that the things they are planning will be delivered soon. How did this happen?”.
