This Tuesday morning, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, commented that he had already signed the decree that reforms articles 76 and 78 of the Federal Labor Law, regarding vacations, for which reason it would already be published in Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
“I already signed the decree yesterday… you have to work and rest. You already know what the recommendation of San Benito is: eight hours to work, eight hours to rest and eight hours to think,” said the executive at a press conference.
In this context, in its evening edition, the DOF published the reform that establishes 12 days of continuous vacation for those people who have already been working for a year. Said period “will increase by two business days, up to twenty, for each subsequent year of service.”
