Jesús Moré is an actor who plays Gerardo Fernández, one of the sons of the famous charro, who due to his own characteristics is singled out as the great antagonist of history. He spoke exclusively to life and style about this project and the moment his career is going through.
“I tried to look for things from Gerardo Fernández, but as an actor one seeks to give the character depth and character, because although this is a person that exists, many others that I have interpreted are only fiction, so I worked on creating the personality and the voice that this performance demands,” said the actor.
His work to recreate one of the offspring of Vicente Fernández, specifically the lesser known, Gerardo. In his construction of the character for this bioseries, he noted that there are few appearances and with the support of references, he gives life to a complex man who has decisive postures for the daily life of the Fernández dynasty, Moré commented.
“People who know him, charrería staff and journalists, have told me that the work we have done is very close to how Gerardo really is,” the actor mentioned.
In this series, the second son of Vicente Fernández has been pointed out as a villain and with a strong character. “I can’t judge the character, I have the job of bringing him to life. Although if we start from the fact that he was the manager of Alejandro and Vicente, his father; always defending and pushing the rights and needs of his artistIn this case, his family clearly has to have a particular tone”, reflects Jesús Moré.
“Being the middle brother, with Vicente junior, who was born in unfavorable circumstances for his health, on the other side is Alejandro, who is the boy and the great artist. Gerardo stays in the middle with the responsibility and attending to the needs of the family, the ranch, and the Fernández house, while his father was on those long tours, he didn’t have it easy either, ”added Moré.
In a significantly successful project for open television, it recorded audience levels of 29 million viewers, figures not so frequent due to the migration of audiences, however, Jesús Moré feels supported by his production.
The villains turn out to be seductive, funny and very clever.
“Honestly, I was scared because of the strength of my role and the story centered on Chente, the reaction has been very positive from the public and they have told me ‘I hate you, but I love you’, it is very interesting to be an antagonist like that”, he recalls excited .
“The villains turn out to be seductive, funny and very clever, I like to give the character some of that, without losing sight of the fact that he is a human being and how he defends his family and has his weaknesses that make him very intense,” he added.
With the Jesús Moré bioseries, he delved into the life of the Fernández family and found new realities of a great idol. “He is admirable as Vicente from his very humble origins and based on work and a lot of talent he built a career, reputation and name in vernacular music that is not easy at all”, he commented.
A few days ago, a preview of the bioseries produced by Netflix authorized by Vicente Fernández himself was released., in addition to a well-known dispute between the Charro de Huentitán family and the production of Televisa-Univisión, an issue that has taken legal overtones, however, the public will see both works eventually. “Comparisons will always exist, I have nothing to worry about, because I am happy with our work and definitely choosing Pablo Montero, who is a charro, knows how to ride and was close to Vicente’s work, was a great choice. In the end, no one is a gold coin and the public will have the last opinion,” said the actor.
Choosing Pablo Montero, who is a charro, knows how to ride and was close to Vicente’s work, was a great choice.
Jesús Moré has a career in which he has gone from soap operas, drug stories and soap operas with comedic tones. “Many times it is said that we do not choose a role, it comes to us as actors and it is what we do with it that means something, in that sense it is that I have gone through many television genres and I have learned that the public perceives me as an actor and not as a character. Very raw stories like in The Lord of the heavens or in Be careful with the angel that it was a more emotional soap opera and now in this I have to be the bad guy, ”Moré jokes.
