The H. Technical Council of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) approved the appointments of the new directors of the Specialty Hospitals in Torreón, Coahuila; the Siglo XXI and La Raza National Medical Centers; as well as the Hospital de Gineco Obstetricia No. 3 “Dr. Víctor Manuel Espinosa de los Reyes Sánchez”, in La Raza.
In an ordinary session, chaired by the general director of Social Security, Zoé Robledo, representatives of the labor, employer, and government sectors voted unanimously. In this way, the new holders protested their positions, which will enter into force on May 1.
Training of the new directors of the UMAE of the IMSS
Dr. María Guadalupe Villa González, who will occupy the title of the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE) in Torreón, is a doctor from the University of Juárez in Durango, with a specialty in Internal Medicine from the Autonomous University of Mexico (UAM) and a master’s degree in Health Systems Administration from the Autonomous University of Coahuila; She has held various positions at Social Security, such as Head of the Clinical Department of the Adult Intensive Care Service, Head of the Division of Medicine, and Medical Director.
Dr. Andrés García Rincón, new director of the Hospital de Especialidades “Dr. Antonio Fraga Mouret”, is a surgeon from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), certified in Interventional Cardiology by the Mexican Council of Cardiology, has a Master’s Degree in Administration of Health Organizations, from La Salle University; He has served as Coordinator of Hospital Medical Services and Medical Specialist in Cardiology at the “Indianilla” Specialty Clinic of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) and as Head of the Hemodynamics Service at the UMAE that he will lead.
Dr. Natividad Neri Muñoz will occupy the title of the Hospital de Especialidades “Dr. Bernardo Sepúlveda Gutiérrez”, is a doctor from the Universidad Veracruzana with a specialty in Hematology from the UNAM. She was awarded the Miguel Hidalgo decoration in Grado Banda; She has a diploma in Teaching Professionalization and another in Medical Directive Management; She has worked as an academic, she is a national researcher in the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), she has been responsible for the transplant area at the UMAE: Oncology Hospital, of the CMN “Siglo XXI”, Head of Service of Hematology, Head of Division and Medical Director.
Meanwhile, Dr. Zarela Lizbeth Chinolla Arellano, new head of the Hospital “Dr. Víctor Manuel Espinoza de los Reyes Sánchez”, is a doctor, surgeon and midwife from the University of Guadalajara, with a Specialty in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a subspecialty in Biology of Human Reproduction, has a Master’s Degree in Direction and Management of Health Institutions; In her professional career, her positions stand out as Head of the Clinical Department in the Services of Biology of Human Reproduction, Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine and Non-family Physician in the Gynecology Service, at Hospital de Gineco Obstetricia No. 3 del CMN “La Race”.
