Although the handheld market is currently dominated by the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck, this is not to say that there isn’t room for some competitors. We have already seen various attempts by companies, such as Aya Neo, to position themselves in this market, although the focus here is on emulation and bringing Windows everywhere. Now, these are not all the options on the market, since Logitech is preparing to release a portable focused on cloud gaming, and we already have the first look at this hardware.
Although at the moment there is not much official information, the first images of Logitech G were recently leaked, a portable console that is the result of the collaboration between Logitech, the famous company responsible for accessories for consoles and PCs, and Tencent, the Chinese giant. Thus, The first images show us a very similar design to the Switch.
What is striking is that the Logitech G is focused on the cloud, so we will have access to platforms such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now, Steam and more. Along with this, there is talk of the use of an Android system. However, at the moment there is not much official information available at the moment, so we will have to wait a little longer to know in detail how all this looks in action.
On related topics, Denuvo comes to the Switch. Similarly, is Nintendo involved in the new DRM proposal for its console?
Editor’s Note:
To tell the truth, the mobile market is one that does not seem to allow more competitors at the moment. With the Switch and Steam Deck covering nearly every user’s need, there’s only room for consoles that focus on emulation, or try to offer a slightly cleaner experience, but these aren’t usually that close at hand. like the proposal of Nintendo and Valve.
