Unlike other hardware projects that have come up over the years, such as the famous Steam Machines, Steam Deck seems to be a real success for Valve. If you book it today, the waiting list is at least six months, for “October 2022 or later”, assures the company on its website. If you were one of the first buyers you reserved your console on the first day of sale, before a specific timeyour Steam Deck should now be ready to ship.
Apparently, Valve is ready to send a new batch of Steam Decks and has sent a confirmation email to a new group of buyers, according to a fan from his personal Twitter account. To get an idea if your order is ready to be shipped or close to it, details that you made the reservation, specifically, on the launch day at 7:52 p.m..
Well, today, Thursday, VALVE has sent a new batch of emails to pay for the Steam Deck and it’s finally my turn and I’ve been able to pay for it. I booked the 512 model on launch day and I couldn’t be more excited that it will arrive next week 😍 pic.twitter.com/UgkxCAQLWA

This means that if you reserved your Steam Deck before that time, or more or less close, your order could also be ready to ship and you would have received an email from Valve. Equally, it is unknown at what exact time the cut was made of this new shipment, so if after checking the mail (also in spam) there is still no confirmation from Valve, we will have to wait for a new batch of Steam Decks.
The microship crisis
Apart from the very high demand for Steam Deck, it is normal that there is such a long waiting list due to the fact that the crisis of microchips and semiconductors continues to hit the video game industry enormously. It is the same problem that the new generation consoles have been suffering from since their launch at the end of 2020. According to analysts, it will continue to be difficult to get hold of a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X in the remainder of 2022, the same would happen with the Valve console.
