During the visit to El Salvador in the first week of October, from Cointelegraph en Español we had the opportunity to interview Mani Thawani, who a few days ago was awarded in Dubai as “Crypto Entrepreneur of the Year”. He is the CEO of MundoCrypto, a company that not much more than a month ago held the MundoCrypto Metaverse Day event in Madrid, Spain, as reported by Cointelegraph. In this opportunity he shares with us his personal vision about the crypto world and education.
Santiago Cassina (SC): Why was the company founded?
Mani Thawani (MT): I am devoted to crypto technology, blockchain, Bitcoin more than anything, I am against the difference of social classes. I am not in favor of capitalism but I cannot say that I am in favor of communism either. I think cryptocurrencies solve a lot. I think that capitalism is a way, the only way we had, but I do think that now, thanks to cryptocurrencies, the disadvantages of it are solved. We can follow the same path but solving the disadvantages. Too much money creates evil and I think if we educate ourselves, the more people learn about this industry, the better off we will be.
SC: About the event in Spain, the traditional media strongly attacked the event
MT: They used us to aim at the target, right?, but well, in the end for the crypto industry there has been acceptance by the people. There are companies that are calling us a lot.
In the event that they have targeted us like this, then we accept it. As long as they are educated great, I achieve the goal, I don’t care if they are from the crypto world or not. I manage to feel good at least. I think we have a long way to go, and it will be hard. If we take the lead, it is likely that they will attack us and attack us, but we will continue and continueWhat are we going to do if not, right?
SC: What are the next plans of the company?
MT: We started with the expansion in Latin America and in 2023 we will be in all countries. Now we are in Mexico and El Salvador. We are going to Peru to build more relationships.
Soon we will come out with a platform where anyone can be free to write content in a decentralized way. The idea is that people vote, I trust people, I trust people understand right? You could vote with three parameters, we could ask the person who votes: Do you think this article has been manipulated or misrepresented, or is the person who has written the article being subjective? With that you are already opening your mind to people. With that question, people ask themselves and they keep thinking, you open their minds.
SC: How do you see El Salvador compared to the rest of the world?
MT: We are working on education. Now it has gone viral that in Switzerland they accept bitcoin at McDonald’s but here [El Salvador] They have been doing it for a long time.
