Two brands have captured nostalgia for Apple’s early years in limited edition sneakers!
Innovating by creating a product inspired by Apple is an increasingly common habit among creators of different industries. However, two companies have teamed up to bring back one of the company’s most popular and top-rated vintage objects when it comes to selling antiques. Thus, they have materialized Apple-inspired sneakers, dubbed “Dunk Hi Dummy Employee”.
Foxtrott Uniform and Thinking Different have taken up the idea of the famous sneakers that Apple distributed among its employees in the 1990s. Unlike the originals created by Adidas, this version uses the Nike Dunk as a base, embossed with your own Apple logo on the tongue. They also feature brass grommets, chalky edges and a “slightly aged exterior”.
A new version of the Apple sneakers in the 90s has arrived
The exclusive shoes were presented a few days ago through the Instagram account of Foxtrott Uniformand they will be available to order from this Sunday. In addition to presenting them in the company of other vintage accessories from the firm, their creators share information of interest when ordering them. They take 4-6 weeks to make and come with their own exclusive box for each pair.
However, they are not as expensive as the sneakers on which they are based. In 2020, a pair of Apple sneakers sold at auction for more than $ 16,000. It was an original pair of sneakers made for Apple employees in association with Adidas in the 1990s. Another pair sold once for $ 30,000 in 2017. Whereas the new Nike Dunk will cost $ 549.
