It cannot be said that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, or any other past episode of the franchise, is particularly hard– Reaction windows are usually quite nice to the player and problems only come when the level of the enemies is much higher. But that may change soon.
The post-launch support of the game does not lose steam even at this point, so its managers are already preparing a new update content: the new difficulty option – nicknamed Nightmare – is quite a juicy novelty, but it is not the only one at all.
Also mentioned are three new abilities, three new river raid maps, and new equipment parts, which include short swords. There’s even a short video for you to see what the new armor looks like on Eivor’s sturdy Nordic body.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and her two expansions are available on PC. As you can see, it does not appear that Ubisoft has plans to abandon the game today, while it prepares the next installment (perhaps by 2022). In the meantime, if you’re even hungrier for Vikings, you might want to take a look at our colleague Rocío Torrejón’s analysis of Song of Iron.
We can’t give everything away just yet, but the upcoming game update may or may not include:
