The prototypes of the new Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric 2022 roll through Europe with promotional camouflage, a strategic method of promotion, already in their last phase of testing, adjusting the latest technical details. In one of these tests, some spy photos have revealed its interior completely exposed.
It is not very common for Renault prototypes to be left out in the open with the dashboard completely exposed. The French brand is very zealous in the development of its new models, protecting especially from the glances of others with canvases, as we see in the spy photos. But in the case of one of the pre-production prototypes of the new Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric 2022 it has not been so.
The new electric crossover that the Mégane has been transformed into is in the final phase of testing, rolling in the special camouflage with which it has already been announced on French and Italian roads. It has been precisely in Gallic lands where it has been hunted taking advantage of a technical stop to recharge the battery, just the moment to take a snapshot of the interior, completely exposed. An interior with very interesting details, because in addition to the two large screens occupying the dashboard, you see other interesting details.
The new Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric 2022, about to debut
It is the case of the large gear stick on the right side of the steering wheel, highlighting more than is desirable or the structure of the seats, very thin compared to those of other seats of competing models and of the French brand itself. A design that has already been confirmed in previous teasers, with an inverted ‘L’ shape ending in a cascade at the center console suspended and without connection to the transmission tunnel.
In addition, you can see how this piece has been dispensed with, which has been replaced by a large central armrest. The French source has also pointed out an interesting detail, and it is that the new Mégane E-Tech Electric is accompanied by the Volkswagen ID.3. The new electric compact of the German brand has been taken as a reference, since it is its main competitor with very similar dimensions between the French and the German.
The new Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric 2022 will be one of the great confirmed novelties of the unprecedented Munich Motor Show that will open its doors at the beginning of September, so the model will be fully unveiled in the coming weeks. On sale at the end of the year, and with the delivery of units scheduled for mid-2022, it will have a 160 kW front electric motor, and a 60 kWh capacity battery with a maximum autonomy of 450 kilometers.
