- Hulu and Uber Eats Pass create alliance to win customers
- The strategy is that Hulu users who are new to Uber Eats Pass can have six months free in the delivery app
- This initiative comes at a time where users are constantly changing
If you are a Hulu subscriber, whether new or “old”, thanks to a new alliance with Uber Eats Pass, you could get six months free in the delivery app.
The streaming platform market continues to grow and add more services every time, which has given rise to a new battle to see which one is the best and, above all, which one offers the best content.
Of course, currently, the market is led by Netflix, Amazon, HBO Max and Disney +, four platforms that each day add more subscribers to their already extensive list of users.
Although these are the ones that dominate the market the most, there are others that, little by little, are gaining followers. One of them is Hulu, which was born in 2007 and is gaining more popularity every day and, consequently, more users.
As of today, Hulu is one of the platforms that gained popularity as a result of the arrival of the pandemic, a fact that caused it to add more than 41 million subscribers until May 2021.
Hulu + Uber Eats Pass
While these may be positive numbers, now Hulu is thinking of a new strategy to gain more subscribers in which it is also engaging Uber Eats Pass.
According to recent information, both Hulu users with and without advertising, as well as Hulu + Live TV customers, have the possibility of obtaining six months of free Uber Eats Pass service, as long as they have never used the app of delivery.
In other words, to get this offer, you need to be a totally new user to Uber Eats Pass, which costs $ 9.99 per month and offers customers unlimited free delivery on orders over $ 15, plus , a five percent discount on eligible orders, including food and groceries. Another advantage of Eats Pass is that it offers you a 10 percent discount on your first three trips.
Now these two platforms have created an alliance that ultimately benefits both. Also, this is the first time that both sites have held a commercial dumbbell. The offer will be available until January 10 of next year.
A complex moment for both platforms
Undoubtedly, this new alliance comes at a time when users of streaming platforms and delivery apps are constantly changing services, thanks to the emergence of more platforms that allow consumers to choose from a wide range content and services.
In that sense, both Hulu and Uber Eats are trying to retain users who were won during the pandemic and it is also a way to respond to other actions that are taking place and that have the same purpose.
Recall that, a few days ago, HBO Max announced that, in order to win back its old subscribers and also to win new ones, it launched a promotion of 50 percent off their subscription.
With this strategy, subscribers will have six months paying half of a normal subscription, an offer that, without a doubt, caught the attention of users and that, ultimately, enters a series of initiatives that seek not to lose customers in time where the effects of the pandemic are not the same as last year.
