Meet the new rules of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) to evaluate children in primary and secondary published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on March 29.
- Preschool children will be evaluated through observations and suggestions about their learning, without using numerical values, in each of the subjects of the different training areas: Fields of Academic Training, Arts and Physical Education, Areas of Personal and Social Development.
- For children who are in the first and second grade of primary school, the grading scale will be from 6 to 10, that is, there will be no failing since students are accredited simply by having completed the corresponding grade.
- For thirteenth, fourth and fifth grades, students must have a minimum of 80% attendance in the school year and have obtained a passing grade in at least 6 subjects taken.
- The sixth – grade need to have 80% attendance and a minimum final average of 6 in all subjects cycle.
- And for the boys in secondary, the first and second must have a minimum of 80% attendance in the school year, a minimum final average of 6 and have obtained a passing grade in at least 6 subjects. For third graders, in addition to having 80% attendance, they must pass all their subjects with a minimum of 6.
