Valheim is a wild and hostile world. Therefore, one of our options is to create a pleasant environment around our home. Obtaining food is one of the main reasons why we often have to venture into dangerous biomes full of threats. However, what if we could have our own farm?
In the following guide we leave you all the details about how to tame animals in Valheim in order to have our own farm next to home.
How to tame wild animals in Valheim
Depending on the animal to be domesticated, the process varies slightly.
- Boars: They are the most frequent animals, but do not be trusted. When we come across a wild boar, it will chase us furiously. You have to guide him to a closed area built by us and leave him trapped. Then we will have to feed him some berry or fruit. The feeding process has to be repeated until the adaptation indicator fills up.
- Wolf: These animals are found in the mountains and are characterized by being very aggressive. When trying to domesticate these animals we have to take into account that the structures to retain them must be resistant, or at least fix them. The process is the same: the wolf has to chase us. To feed him we have to give him uncooked meat or sausages. Once acclimatized, the wolf will be able to fight with us, although it must be taken into account that depending on whether it is day or night when we domesticate it, the wolf will be active in that same strip.
- Lox: These animals are very useful when it comes to creating layers against the cold and can be domesticated either in an enclosure or in the wild. These beings are found in the Plains and accept marsh berries and barley for food. You have to be stealthy when approaching them.
How to raise animals in Valheim
To raise animals, the first thing we have to do is gather two pups of the same species with full acclimatization bars. Then we have to feed them until they are satisfied and leave them alone. Some time later they will have had a baby.
