He electronic ID (DNIe) is a document granted by the Government of Peru and that provides many benefits to those who obtain it, among them that the citizen can make digital signatures with the same validity as if they were in the place in person. That is to say, if he has to do some paperwork and cannot go to the place, thanks to that identification there will be no problem.
This type of ID it is the size of a credit card and contains a cryptographic chip. Currently, only people over 18 years of age can request it, but it is expected that in the future it will also be available for minors.

Requirements to request the electronic ID
- Being over 18 years
- Go to an agency of the Reniec (National Registry of Identification and Civil Status) that offers the procedure, since they are not carried out in all of them.
- Pay S/41 for the emission right with tax code 00521 in Págalo.peBanco de la Nación or Banco de Crédito (from the app, agents or website there is no commission charge).
- Submit proof of payment (you must indicate the ID number of the person who will carry out the process).
- Let them take your fingerprints and if you wish you can take the opportunity to update personal information such as marital status, address, among others.
- Return to the place where you carried out the procedure in approximately 10 days
