When we use any application or even an operating system, be it mobile devices such as Android or desktop computers such as Windows. We think that its different functions or characteristics can only be used in the way they were created. But it turns out that today it is not like that and we can use it for a different purpose. Next, we will show you how to put Spotlight images as desktop backgrounds in Windows 10.
For those who don’t know, Windows Spotlight is a new feature in Windows 10 that allows you to display various images on the lock screen. These images have very good quality and offer us different themes. And we have always wondered if it will be possible to put Spotlight images on the desktop in Windows 10.
How to put Spotlight images as desktop background in Windows 10
But because tenth that this task is a bit difficult, it may not be difficult but a bit tedious because we do know where Windows 10 stores these images. They will not have an extension and we will have to carry out this work of putting an image extension on each one and this may take us some time.
But we are going to tell you that this arduous task can be automated, through the use of a script which will do all the work for us. What does this mean, simply that the script will go directly where Windows 10 stores these images and will put an extension to each one and then save it in another folder.
This script already has a default configuration to save the images in a specific path and we can change it. The default path is the folder for images> Wallpaper> Spotlight and it will save it to an OneDrive folder. In order to make this change of route, we are going to go to line number 6 and here we place one of our preference.
How to Make Spotlight Images Display Automatically
But you should know that Windows Spotlight every day adds new images and these will not be available to be used as wallpaper. So what can we do, quiet we can also make the script perform this task. For this, we are going to use an XML file and with it, we are going to create a scheduled task in Windows.
After we have downloaded the file, we are going to open the Windows 10 task scheduler, then we will look for the Import task option and we are going to click. Then we select the downloaded file, the next step we must do is choose the Triggers tab and in it, we are going to place the tempo at which we want the script to be executed.
Once this is done, we are going to go to the Actions tab and we are going to choose an entry, then we will edit it. Then in the Program / Script section, we are going to click on Browse and we are going to choose the script that we had already downloaded before. Finally, we only have to click Save and we leave.
The last step will be to go to Settings, in this window we select Customize and then in the Background section we are going to click on slideshow. The next thing we must do is select the path where we have indicated that the Spotlight images are saved and that’s all you have to do.
It is a simple operation to perform but a bit tedious but it is worth it, having these images so dazzling that the application shows us. And if you follow these instructions to the letter, you will be able to put Spotlight images on your Windows 10 desktop.
