The 2023 Citizen Income will be granted to families belonging to groups A and B of SISBEN IV, indigenous communities (113,000 families) and forcibly displaced persons. The amount of financial support to receive will range between $100,000 and $500,000, depending on the specific situation of each family.
It is relevant to take into account that the allocation of financial aid will depend on the records of the subsidies granted during the years 2021 and 2022. Priority will be given to residents of the 466 municipalities with the highest rates of multidimensional poverty and child malnutrition, as well as to the PDET territories.
On what date will the 2023 Citizen Income be paid?
The Government headed by Gustavo Petro has communicated that the first disbursement of the Citizen Income subsidy will be made in April 2023, while subsequent payments will take place every two months, in months such as June, August, October, December, among others. The amount of the subsidy, as announced, will be 500,000 Colombian pesos.
