How to know if you access the Citizen Income?
The program aims to provide assistance to more than 3 million households throughout the nation, giving priority to single mothers with children under 6 years of age. Those families that live in the 466 municipalities with high and very high child malnutrition rates may opt for the highest amounts of the subsidy, which could reach up to $500,000.
Authorities have used multidimensional poverty maps and PDET municipalities to identify potential program beneficiaries. Likewise, the composition of the household and the fulfillment of responsibilities related to health care and access to education for minors will be considered.
