In this image, we are going to add a rainbow and also highlight the sky. Once in the program and with the photograph inserted in the object manager.
We will select it to duplicate it, we will do this by pressing the Ctrl + D keys, once this is done, we will go to the right side menu and select the Magic Barite tool.
We will make sure that its tolerance does not exceed 25, now we will select the sky and make a clip, if there are unselected areas, we can help ourselves with the Brush Mask tool.
Once this is done, we go to the layer and we are going to make the right clip to position ourselves in the Cut Mask option. Then in create, and finally in the option From mask, this option will create a mask next to the layer and it will be selected. We must select the object layer, then we go to the side menu and choose the Interactive Fill tool.
This is to paint the object layer of color and in the upper part, we will choose the uniform fill option. And then we can choose the color that we like the most, it can be a bright blue and finally, we click on Apply. Then we change the blending mode of this layer to overlay and in this way we have highlighted the sky in the image.
Using the gradient fill tool to add the rainbow
And the next step will be to add the rainbow, for this we will create a new object layer and we can do this at the bottom of the object manager. To this new layer, we are going to apply a gradient fill and use 4 colors. These will be black yellow blue and red, so we select the interactive fill tool again.
Then at the top, we will select the gradient fill option and then we go to the right side of this menu and select the Edit fill option. It will show us the box and in the gradient bar, the ends have to be black with 100% transparency. And now we will try to place the three colors almost merged and with the same width.
We can also select the radial gradient option and click OK, we will now position it in the place of our preference and click Apply. We will go to the Effect tab, then you select the Blur option and finally Gaussian Blur and we apply 20 pixels of a blur.
And to finish we will place a 40% opacity and make a clip-on Apply, then we choose the Eraser tool. And with a fade of 100, we are going to erase the areas where the rainbow is left over. And this way culminates the tutorial that taught you how to highlight the sky and add rainbows to a photo using Corel Photo-Paint.
