Do you have a Xiaomi mobile with MIUI and notifications do not go well? A few days ago we talked to you about the problem of not receiving notifications on Android phones, and today we are entering one of the customization layers that have the most problems. This is MIUI, a very restrictive layer with applications in the background, which leads to poor notification management for certain applications. Today we tell you how to fix it and make all notifications reach your device. It is simple and you will not need extra applications, everything is done from the settings.
Fix Xiaomi notifications with two simple tricks
MIUI manages applications in the background in a very restrictive way. The personalization layer does not allow certain applications to start displaying notifications. This has a fairly simple solution, although it can be somewhat tedious if you have many applications installed on your device.
- Open the settings of your Xiaomi mobile
- Look for the ‘ Applications ‘ section
- Open the ‘ Permissions ‘ section
- Click on ‘ Automatic start ‘
- Activate this permission in all applications with which you have notification problems
This trick will indicate to MIUI that this application has permission to open automatically without the need for you to do so. Thanks to this detail you will be able to receive notifications from applications that previously did not. It is important that you activate the permission in all the applications that you have problems, one by one.
If the above doesn’t work, try this
If you have done the previous step and some applications still do not show the notifications, there is one more trick that you can carry out. It is related to the battery and energy savings, so you will have to make some adjustments from the configuration of your Xiaomi device.
- Enter the terminal settings
- Look for the option ‘ Battery and performance ‘ and enter
- Click on ‘ Battery saving in applications ‘
- Enter the applications that give you problems and select the ‘ No restrictions ‘ option
In this way you will not have restrictions with the applications in the background due to energy savings. Again, it can be tedious to be doing this in all the applications you have installed, but you only have to do it once and you will make sure that all notifications arrive correctly and on time.
We recommend that you carry out both processes, as they will only take a few minutes. If you’re only having trouble with notifications from an app, make your changes only in that app. If the other applications notify you well, nothing needs to be changed.
