In recent years, the automatic playback of videos, in general, has become a problem for many users for their data rate. While it is true that, at least in Spain, data rates have increased their GB massively, not everyone is willing to pay for such rates.
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are some of the main developers who have the mania, to call it somehow, of activating the reproduction of videos automatically, as we get to the content of our wall or timeline. However, this YouTube function is responsible for continuously playing all the videos related to the video that we have played in the first place.
In these cases, if you really like a musical group, this tool is fantastic, as it will play the different songs that are available on the Google video platform. However, if we have seen a trailer for a specific movie, a video of how to do this or that, or any other type of content that does not require more information, this option does not make any sense, especially when the playback is carried out through our smartphone with its respective mobile data rate.
Turn off autoplay of videos on YouTube
- First, we must go to the settings of our account by clicking on our user.
- Next, we go to Settings and then click on General.
- Now we look for the Autoplay option.
- We just have to deactivate the switch that is activated by default.
We can also carry out this process in a much simpler way, without accessing the configuration menus of the YouTube application. We just have to click on any video and look for the Auto Play switch to deactivate it.
