In the future, almost any physical object will be tied to an NFT. For example, your house will be represented by one, in which your property will be credited. That your house is linked to an NFT, makes it unnecessary for a third party, such as a notary, to certify that you are the owner of that property, saving you the expense of valuable resources.
NFTs also allow us, for the first time, to have real digital ownership. This statement may sound a bit confusing, because in today’s internet it seems that we own different things, such as usernames, emails, in-game items, etc.
However, if we think about it, all these items, which we “own” are only borrowed and the companies that create them can deny us access to them, at the moment they decide.
This opens the door to many possibilities and a whole new digital economy where we can sell, buy or transfer our digital assets whenever we choose.
Minting an NFT is much simpler than you might think. There are two main paths, in the first one it is necessary to know the different protocols and a bit of programming.
If this is not your case, it is best to use a platform like OpenSea, which is the largest NFT market in the world. There you can, acquire and sell NFT, easily and quickly.
Entering is very simple. You just have to connect your wallet. The most recommended is Metamask. In previous articles I told you how it works and how you can get yours.
Once you have connected your wallet, you can now create, buy, sell and gift NFTs on the platform.
To receive NFT, you just have to click on the person icon (which should now be a different color) and click on profile. Within your profile and below your name is your public address. This is the address you must provide to receive NFTs from another person.
If what you want is to mint an NFT, you just have to click on create and the platform will direct you to a page where you can enter all the information that your digital asset will carry.
On this page, you will be able to enter multimedia material, name, hidden information and different relevant information. There is no cost to mint an NFT, but in case you want to transfer it to another account, you will have to pay a small commission.
Start exploring OpenSea now and mint your first NFTs. This will open the door to endless possibilities, where you can take advantage of this new digital economy.
