YouTube’s new television service, simply called YouTube TV, has been making headlines for the past few days. This new Google service has some things in common with Netflix and Hulu but there is a very different detail that you will not find in these last two platforms.
The main difference between YouTube TV and Netflix or Hulu is that the Google service does not have a library of series and movies. Instead, it only offers access to television channels such as ABC, CBS, E! News, Fox and others, for a monthly fee of $ 35.
Google offers all users the ability to access and use YouTube TV for free for the first month, after which it will begin to charge them the price indicated above.
“Location spoofing” method to access YouTube TV
The only problem is that the YouTube TV free trial is only available in some specific markets in the United States, such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or Philadelphia. But if you’re reading this, you probably don’t live in any of those places.
However, below we are going to teach you a simple and fast method to enjoy the YouTube TV trial month no matter where you live and without the need for root or other strange hacks. For this, you will only need one application.
How to install and use Fake GPS Location on Android
In order to get access to YouTube TV, we will resort to an old trick known as “Location spoofing” by using an application called Fake GPS Location. This name means it refers to the fact that the app falsifies the GPS location of the device so that Google thinks that you are in one of the places where YouTube TV can be accessed.
The first thing you should do is download and install Fake GPS Location on your Android terminal and then go to Settings> Developer Options and look for an option called “ Test location app ”. Within this option, you must choose Fake GPS Location as the default app to simulate your location.
Once you have done this, you will need to download the YouTube TV app. This app is different from the YouTube app for Android TV, which is what you’ll probably find the first time if you search the Play Store. As it is blocked in different regions, you must download the YouTube TV APK from the following link and then proceed to install it. Of course, remember that for this you must have activated the option of “Unknown sources” or “Unknown sources” in the Security menu of your terminal.
How to set up YouTube TV on Android
The first thing you should do is open the YouTube TV app and click on “TRY 1 MONTH FREE” or Try 1 month free. Then it will ask you for permission to access your location. This is where the Fake GPS Location app comes into play, which will tell Google that you are living in the United States. If you really live in the US, then it is best to choose the city closest to you, since the application can adapt its content based on your exact location (for example, if you choose New York you could have access to different shows and channels if you chose Los Angeles).
The YouTube TV base pack costs $ 35, but there are several monthly upgrades that can cost you up to $ 61 a month, which I think is overkill. The application will guide you through all its options, although under the Home tab you can find the category of movies (called Movies For You or Movies for you), while television series are located in a section called Catch-Up On The Latest Shows.
Once YouTube TV is running on your Android device, you will no longer need the Fake GPS Location application, at least not to continue using the Google service.

Below you have a screenshot of all the TV channels that you can enjoy through YouTube TV, although others will be added over time. Of course, all are in English, although some have subtitles option.
