To work in Chapultepec Castle for Bard, Alejandro González Iñárritu had to pay a high sum -although not stratospheric- of money and coordinate some requests. Now, everything that was done to be able to capture one of the film in said venue located in the Mexican capital has been revealed.
In accordance with Forbes Mexico, and contrary to what one might think, the director also responsible for Amores perros did not have to pay any special permission to use the site as a location for his project. On that side, then, there were no major obstacles. This was commented by Asgard Torres Esperanza, administrative deputy director of the place.
“For the permits, no type of payment was made for the National Museum of History, Castillo de Chapultepec, belonging to the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), by the filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu.”
If the money was not necessary for the permits, what was it for? For the shoot. For filming at the Chapultepec Castle in Bardo, the production had $97 thousand 192 thousand pesos, which covered eight days of stay. This was revealed by documents obtained by Forbes.
