How much are tickets to see the SLS rocket liftoff to the Moon? – FayerWayer

Total madness: more than 100 thousand visitors are expected to see the launch of the SLS mega rocket and the Orion spacecraft to the Moon, as part of the Artemis I Mission of the POT. From this Tuesday, the Kennedy Space Center began selling packages to see the historic event.

At the end of August or beginning of September the takeoff will take place, always depending on the weather and other situations. The first date is August 29, starting at 8:33 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States.

The Artemis Program seeks to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon: the first phase, Artemis I, will carry three mannequins into lunar orbit, to determine the effects of radiation and NASA’s new suits.

For phase II, the designated astronauts will make the same journey, to orbit the moon and then back to Earth.

Finally, Artemis III will lead the first woman and the next man to the surface of our satellite, following steps started in 1969 by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.

The cost of packages to see the liftoff of NASA’s Artemis I Mission

The Kennedy Space Center in Florida will be the launch site for NASA’s Artemis I Mission. carrying the SLS megarocket and the Orion spacecraft into lunar orbit.

Starting Tuesday, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex packages are on sale. They range from $99 to $250.

Feel the Heat Package

for 250 dollars, visitors will be able to stand on the Apollo/Saturn V Center Lawn, standing 3.5 miles from the launch pad.

The package includes 2-day admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, bus transportation from the gates of NASA to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, real-time launch commentary from a space expert, complimentary food and souvenirs such as a commemorative release card and a digital photo.

Feel the Fun Package

With this package, from 149 dollars, people will be able to witness the launch from the Atlantis North Lawn, 12.9 kilometers from the platform.

Includes 2-day admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, family activities, broadcast with commentary from a space expert, complimentary food and souvenirs, plus digital photo.

Visitor Core Resort Package

People will be able to access the Atlantis South Lot, Rocket Garden or Parking Lot 3, 12.9 kilometers from the launch pad. The package is worth 99 dollars, is only available online and includes 2-day admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and a commemorative launch lithograph.
