Saints Row Skills are a very useful tool to take down your enemies in the most spectacular and ruthless ways possible. My goal with this guide is for you to know all the types and which ones are the best.
Abilities in Saints Row
In Saint’s Row There are three types of abilities: character, weapon, and vehicle. Do not confuse abilities with advantages, beware! Each type has its own unique abilities. While the character can equip up to 4, the weapons and cars have their own and often vary.
Character Skills
You can only equip 4 skills (not counting Passives). This means that you can make quite a few combinations. My three recommendations are as follows:
- demolitions: Pineapple Express, Proximity Mine, Transfusion and Fragmenter.
- Cowboy: Quick Draw, D4th Blossom, Transfusion and Pineapple Express.
- Gangster: Intercession, Fragmentadora, Transfusion and Pineapple Express.

Weapon skills are of the exclusive type. They apply to equipped weapons and grant a special buff… but you have to unlock them first after completing missions tied to the weapon itself.

The best weapon skills are Aim high, Big explosion, bloodsucker, Flashgasm, Stunning Bullets Y Easy Trigger. Note that these skills have been selected based on the character skill classes I discussed earlier. You must combine them to create incredible combos.
Vehicle Skills
Vehicle abilities work the same as for weapons. You must unlock them by doing a specific mission and then activate them.
Ability | Effect | Punctuation |
---|---|---|
air thrust | Now you can fly with nitro! | 2/5 |
Ball and Chains | Leave destruction in your wake. | 5/5 |

Sometimes simple is best. Being able to jump with your car and some spikes on your wheels to puncture the wheels of the cars that are next to you can be your best weapons. In any case, none of these skills will be useful if you are not good behind the wheel.
