The time of commuting to work or school can be, at times, a real journey and a real headache.
We live in an increasingly populated society and, consequently, with greater transportation needs, especially in large cities, where life moves at a much faster pace compared to other regions.
Today, there is a wide variety of options in terms of public transport (metro, metrobus, suburban train, taxi, combis or buses and, of course, applications such as Uber, DiDi, etc.); however, for many people, the time they spend either going to work or school is still an issue.
According to the survey Statista Global Consumer SurveyMexico is the country with the highest proportion of respondents (14 percent) who spend an hour or even more to travel to their place of work or school.
It is not surprising, given that Mexico City is one of the most visited by residents of neighboring states, such as the State of Mexico, who carry out their lives in the country’s capital and, consequently, travel times are usually be a real headache.
On the other hand, according to the results shown in the graph deposited above, Argentina occupies the second position where the respondents (10 percent) revealed that it takes an hour or more to get to their jobs or their study centers.
At present, taking into account that, at a global level, we live in an era that has begun to worry and deal with issues of sustainability, care for the environment, etc., there are other types of vehicles that work, above all, for those people who spend no more than half an hour (30 minutes) to get to both their school or work.
We are talking about models of micromobility, such as bicycles or electric scooters, which currently have about four million users worldwide.
