According to an official statement, the National Government has managed to help close to two million homes in Colombia thanks to the implementation of the Shock Plan against Hunger. This program was designed to address the economic hardships caused by the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the measures adopted, an extra payment of 500,000 pesos is being provided throughout the Colombian territory.
The additional payment is being delivered to those who already receive benefits from social programs such as Solidarity Income, Youth in Action and Families in Action. However, it is essential to keep in mind that there are certain requirements that must be met, and these will be described in the following paragraphs. How to know if you are a beneficiary of Zero Hunger 2023?
- Access the website solidary income.prosperidadsocial.gov.co.
- Select the “REGISTER” button located in the upper right corner of the page.
- If you are already registered, log in to the Digital Citizen Authentication service using your identification number. If it is not, choose “REGISTER HERE” in the “TYPE OF ACCESS” option to begin the registration process.
- After registering, go back to the program website and log in again (steps 1, 2 and 3).
- Once inside the system, a window will appear with the information of the registered user. Verify the information and close the corresponding window.
- Select the “CHECK TURNS AND BENEFICIARIES” button. A window will be displayed with relevant details about your household, such as your status and whether you are a beneficiary of the program, among other details. Entity in charge of social programs.
What are the requirements to access the Zero Hunger Bonus?
- Belong to group A of the Sisbén IV socioeconomic classification system.
- Be a beneficiary of the Solidarity Income program and belong to group A.
- Being a single mother and being the head of household registered in the Familias en Acción program, and having dependent children under six years of age.
- Being a single mother and being the head of household beneficiary of the Jóvenes en Acción program, and having dependent children under the age of six.
When will they pay the Zero Hunger bonus?
- The delivery of State subsidies to the beneficiaries of group A began on December 7.
- Those beneficiaries of group A of Sisbén IV who did not have a registered bank account began to receive the Solidarity Income benefit as of December 7.
- Banked beneficiaries of group A of Sisbén IV began to receive the same benefit as of December 15.
- The participants of the Jóvenes en Acción program who completed cycle 6 in 2022 began to receive the benefit as of December 21.
- As of December 26, the transfer began to be delivered to households participating in the Familias en Acción program, especially to households headed by single mothers with children under 6 years of age.
