It began on September 19 and since then the lives of thousands of people have changed completely. Ever since the Cumbre Vieja volcano began its eruption and wreaked havoc on the Isla Bonita, La Palma has tried to recover from the natural disaster.
Concerts have been held to raise funds, books such as stronger than the volcano and aid campaigns have been carried out. Now what the palmeros are looking for is to return to normality as soon as possible and recover their island as the hidden treasure that it is, that is why they launched the tourist pass of La Palma and there is another initiative that will arrive on the island in June.
Stronger than the volcano: La Palma (Illustrated)
remote villages, on La Palma
The initiative Remote Towns It is, as they themselves explain, “an experience that will change your perspective on remote work and the rural environment.”
And it does so by uniting remote workers with locals, to generate a socioeconomic impact in the rural environment in which it develops. There, the teleworkers carry out activities and challenges with what they connect with the rural environment.
In the month of June, the initiative reaches La Palma, the town of Fuencaliente. Wonderful sunsets, a unique environment in which the volcano and the sea come together, a protected sky and one of the reasons to travel to La Palma.
How to participate in the new edition of Remote Townsin La Palma
The experience will take place from June 4 to 25, and only 10 remote workers will be chosen for this experience. In addition to living in a privileged environment equipped for teleworking (in Casas los Melindros and Casa Morera, in the Los Quemados neighborhood), activities will be carried out in four local projects such as the cellar Juan Matías Torres or the Palma Oliva oil producer, and the lucky ones will be able to learn through workshops and training.
The experience, which it has a cost from 1,150 euros in a shared roomincludes all activities and transportation, and a donation to a local association for those affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
Through a simple form You can get in touch with this initiative and discover whether or not you are the person chosen to live a unique experience on La Palma.
