Medieval-style fantasy has become the obsession of video-on-demand platforms, as demonstrated by licenses such as The Lord of the Rings on Prime Video or The Witcher on Netflix. In the meantime, HBO continues trying to take advantage of his great saga of recent years, Game of Thrones. Now, in that sense, House of the Dragon shows their first teaser. And it is that this series that will premiere on HBO Max at some point to be confirmed next year 2022 is the first of the Game of Thrones spin-off that are on the way, with many other stories still to be told about what happened in Westeros.
“Gods. Kings. Fire. Blood”, reads the description of the teaser of just over a minute that Home Box Office has shared through its YouTube account. And is that House of the Dragon will adapt the novel Fire & Blood by George RR Martin, which takes place 200 years before the events narrated in Game of Thrones and which focuses on the targaryen family, who still sat on the Iron Throne and ruled Westeros with the help of his dragons. In fact, Martin has pointed out that in this series there will be up to seventeen dragons, a number significantly higher than the three well-known of the work of Benioff and Weiss.

In the previous teaser you can see for the first time in motion Matt smith, who will play Prince Daemon, younger brother of King Viserys I, played by Paddy constantine. For its part, the preview also shows us Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s first-born and whom he will give life Emma D’Arcy. All this is but the first step of what is to come in House of the Dragon, whose first season will land in HBO Max in 2022. We still have to wait to know more details that clarify what is to come.
