Municipal, state and federal authorities attended the inauguration of the hospital, including Governor Mara Lezama and the municipal president of Benito Juárez, Ana Patricia Peralta, as well as Armando Joya, president of Grupo Médico Joya.

This new private hospital will provide medical coverage not only to the inhabitants of Cancun but also to the millions of tourists who visit this destination every year, endorsing the commitment to have high-quality health services.
The new hospital that will promote medical tourism in Cancun is located in Plaza Kukulcán, km. 13 of the hotel zone, this new property will serve more than 35 specialties. It has 8,000 square meters of construction, 48 beds, 6 incubators, 10 newborn cribs, 7 operating rooms, 40 medical offices, a hemodynamics or cardiac catheterization room, a clinical analysis laboratory, an adult and pediatric intensive care unit, among others. services.
Armando Joya Munguía, president of Grupo Médico Joya, pointed out that Cancun ranks second in the world in terms of international travelers, so in response to the great demand for high-quality specialty services, the hospital was built.
“It is the first and only one in the entire Cancun hotel zone. Due to its strategic location, it will allow timely and immediate attention to any medical requirement or contingency,” said Joya Munguía.
He added that future projects include new hospital units in Playa del Carmen and Tulum, where they also intend to strengthen the medical tourism industry.
