In the last hours it has been confirmed that the launch of Horizon Forbidden West was postponed until next year, specifying in passing the exact day on which it will go on sale. However, the news did not come alone, because Guerrilla Games revealed that it had enabled an update in Horizon Zero Dawn.
This new patch, which is now available for download, what it does is increase frame rate on PS5. In this way the action will be seen at 60 fps, something that we can better verify in the new comparative video that has been used to publish the channel ElAnalistaDeBits.
In it we can see that the game is seen at practically constant 30 fps most of the time on PS4 and PS4 Pro, while on PS5 it does not drop below 60 fps at any timeregardless of the number of items and effects on the screen.
The resolution on PS4 we can see that it stays at 1080p compared to 1440p rescaled to 4K on PS4 Pro and PS5. But if there is something in which Aloy’s adventure takes advantage of the characteristics of the new Sony console, it is in loading times, as on PS5 they are considerably reduced by more than half in front of the other two consoles.
An ideal occasion to enjoy again Horizon zero dawn during these months until February 18, 2022, the day on which Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PS4 and PS5.
