After the gameplay revealed by Warner Bros today, we have new news: Hogwarts Legacy will allow you to kill. The reason for this is that the game will allow you to use the killing curse in the game. The Killing Curse was invented by dark witches and wizards in the early Middle Ages and is one of the three Unforgivable Curses. As its name suggests, it instantly and painlessly kills its target, so naturally it’s Lord Voldemort’s signature spell.
As strange as it may seem, knowing that Hogwarts Legacy will allow you to kill confirms something important to you: this It’s not Harry Potter’s story but yours, and that also means that you can make it, apparently, to your measure. Although it is not yet clear how accessible this option will be or how much it will be available in the game.
Hogwarts Legacy release window confirmed with impressive gameplay
Hogwarts Legacy will let you kill
Voldemort tries to use the Killing Curse against Harry Potter at the end of The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but Harry uses the Expelliarmus Charm to deflect it and finally finish Voldemort. At Hogwarts Legacy trailer revealed todaywe see the player character clearly cast the Killing Curse against an unseen enemy, making it clear that Hogwarts Legacy will allow you to kill.
Unless wearing an Expelliarmus enchantment, the character is outright dead. In a game adapted from a series of junior novels, one might expect to simply “defeat” or “beat” enemies, but by including the Killing Curse as a usable spell, and now that we know Hogwarts Legacy will allow you to kill, it shows that the game won’t shy away from some of the darker themes.
