Since its announcement, Hogwarts Legacy has aroused a lot of interest among fans of the franchise created by JK Rowling, becoming one of the most anticipated games of the year. Like any original work, the title will have its own licence, taking creative liberties in certain aspects to adapt the title to the time in which it takes place. A direct consequence of these has been that Hogwarts Legacy modifies the shields of the houses to give them a more “retro” touch.
The four houses of Hogwarts have always had characteristic shields, but the people of Avalanche Software have decided to give them a twist to adapt them to the title, since it must be remembered that Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the 19th century, a time far removed from what has been seen in Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts.

It has been through the social networks of Warner Bros Games Avalanche where the company has shared the aspects of the new shields of the houses in Hogwarts Legacy, where we can appreciate a more austere touch than the one traditionally seen in the saga starring the boy who survived.

However, as we can see, the symbols of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff are still present without any modification, with the classic animals of the houses being present, such as the lion, the snake, the eagle and the badger, but all of this under one appearing more typical of the time where the events of the title take place.
It remains to be seen if in addition to Hogwarts Legacy modifies the shields of the houses, the title ends up introducing some more changes in classic aspects of the saga. And you, what do you think of this new design? We read you in the comments.
