Last week was a very difficult one for various television productions and their followers. One of the victims was How I Met Your Father, which faced final cancellation by Hulu. Although the spin-off of How I Met Your Mother did not achieve the success of the original series, it had a group of loyal viewers who were surprised by the news. After the tragic announcement, it’s the creator of the story that sparked it all who talks about the abrupt end of the series.
Through your account X/Twitter, Craig Thomas, who also produced the spin-off, had a few words for everyone involved with the project. In passing, he acknowledged that the television industry is completely uncertain. Dozens of responses showed the discontent of the fans for being left with an incomplete story.

In addition to not seeing their favorite characters, followers of How I Met Your Father they will have to face the uncertainty of knowing what will happen. Confident that the story would continue, the filmmakers ended the second season with tremendous cliffhangers. Basically, the main mystery of the project was not solved – it was never found out who is the father of Sophie’s child. In addition, Sid and Hannah ended their relationship, so the reconciliation will remain in an eternal “we’ll see”.
In response to TVLine, which broke the news, Thomas also added the following on his Facebook account:

How I Met Your Father premiered in early 2022 and quickly became one of the audience’s favorite series. In it, Sophie tells her son how she met her father. A story that catapults us back to 2021, where the protagonist and her close-knit group of friends try to figure out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
The series featured a cast made up of Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Tom Aisley and Suraj Sharma, among others. Although there are no specific details of the reasons, it is speculated that the strikes of actors and scriptwriters could influence the cancellation of How I Met Your Father. If the interest of the fans is maintained, perhaps in the future there will be a special episode to try to solve the mysteries that were left in the pipeline.
Both seasons of the series are currently on Star Plus.
