Kojima gives this information after talking about The Boys.
Hideo Kojima’s name is one of the most important in the video game industrysince, after all, we are talking about some of the most innovative and relevant creative minds, which has been behind Metal Gear Solid, Death Stranding, among other not so well known projects from his time at Konami.
His prestige in this industry is so high that his dismissal from Konami was one of the most notorious in memory, along with Microsoft gave him a special slot at the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase as Phil Spencer himself introduced Kojima to announce a game of Kojima Productions for Xbox, being many the rumors that speak about the use of the cloud in this one.
Given this, it should be noted that Hideo Kojima is very active on his social networks, giving rise to the broadcast of the Prime Vide series, The Boys, being one of its most commented topics. However, the surprise has come in the face of a statement in several tweets in which he states that had ideas for a game inspired by the series.
As he explains, in the past he thought of make a game where superheroes were corrupt, being the opposite paradigm to what we see in Marvel and DC and that is more similar to the vision offered by The Boys. In this way, this project would have been a title with a couple of detectives facing legendary heroes. In fact, he comments that Mads Mikklesen was one of his candidates to play a role in this game, as finally seen in Death Stranding:

Well, what I had planned stayed in my mind only, so I didn’t incur any cost for labor, material, research, or anything like that.—HIDEOKOJIMA (@HIDEOKOJIMA_EN) June 26, 2022
It is worth mentioning that the project did not go beyond the conceptual stageso there was never a real possibility of being able to see that title come true, to which should be added the fact that the series takes away that novelty effect. In any case, it remains as a curious anecdote in which it can be seen that Kojima still has a lot to do in this industry.
