Within the long list of projects under development within PlatinumGames, the name of Project GG is one of the most has attracted attention. Regarded as the final chapter in Hideki Kamiya’s superhero trilogy, much about this title remains a secret. Fortunately, the Japanese director has provided a bit of information on this game.
In a talk with VGC, Kamiya was questioned about the development of Project GG, which will be published by PlatinumGames. The last time this developer spoke about the game was earlier this year., when he mentioned that he was already working on a prototype. Now, this is what he commented:
“I can tell you that development is progressing well! We are in prototyping and things are starting to get done. Is growing”.
Although many may point out that this progress is minimal, especially considering that the game is in a similar state to the beginning of the year, Kamiya is in various projects right now. At this point, this is what he commented:
“In my role as lead game designer at the studio, I am looking at virtually every project we are working on, giving advice and intervening where necessary. But the main focus at the moment is the direction of the GG Project, which we just said is in prototype. For Sol Cresta I am the creative director, so I am supervising the project with the main direction in charge of Takanori Sato.
Of course, as we get closer to launch, a little more attention is being paid to looking after him, but I’m not fully on it yet, because he is the director. So it’s more about supervising the project than being a complete director… I’m in the middle.
And of course, because the world of Bayonetta is something that I created and am fostering, I am taking a look at Bayonetta 3 and keeping an eye on it. But I’m also a bit busy with other projects ”.
Kamiya’s focus is currently on Sun Crest, once this project is finished you will surely focus more on Bayonetta 3. Project GG it will be developed at the rate that PlatinumGames deems necessary.
In related topics, here you can learn more about the current status of Bayonetta 3. Similarly, PlatinumGames is willing to bring Star fox zero to the Switch.
