We went to the PC Gaming Show 2022 looking for games and came back packed. The PC Gamer digital event brought together nothing less than 54 trailers and announcements of different caliber ranging from long-awaited titles like Chivalry 2, great promises like The Invincible, news around those already available, and there was even room for some mod to take into account. A lot of content, too much, to process in about two hours that were not short. Fortunately, in Extra Life we have tackled the challenge of summarizing it and bringing together what is shown in the most enjoyable way.
Our plan is really simple: from the outset we have gathered the most interesting advances of the event. We have separated the wheat from the chaff so that you have the most anticipated announcements and the most promising news ahead of you. From there, and right after, the complete list with everything announced during the PC Gaming Show. Finally, and as a closing, you will find the video with the entire digital event.
And it is that we already went with the body prepared: of all the presentations that take place throughout the month of June, the PC Gaming Show it has always been the densest in all its aspects. Both in a good way, because it must be recognized that there was a lot of everything, and in a not so good way due to how difficult it is to keep up with the pace of the event. Thus, our review focuses on giving an extra presence to the best and most interesting and keeping everything announced in mind.
Without further ado, below you will find the best trailers and announcements of the PC Gaming Show 2022 and just a little further down the complete list of ads.
SpellForce: Conquest of Eo
The Spellforce universe expands. THQ Nordic kicked off the PC Gaming Show by presenting a new chapter in its own fantasy universe with SpellForce: Conquest of Eoa tactical and turn-based role-playing proposal for PC that, for now, has been announced without a release date.
MythForce
The almost indescribable charm of cartoons from nearly 40 years ago meets epic first-person action and fantasy. Aspyr and Beamdog make it official that MythForce It is now available as Early Access with a trailer that divides its footage between crazy gameplay and animation with hints of nostalgia.
rotwood
The beat ’em ups new batch are always welcome, and if they look like Rotwood even more so. Klei wants to offer the next Castle Crashers and we are delighted. Of course, the brooch of the video leaves much in the air when it will be released as early access.
The Invincible
The Invincible, will arrive in 2023, and its first gameplay has left us wanting more. The ingredients to captivate any fan of science fiction are perfectly aligned: an inhospitable planet, atompunk aesthetics and a thousand ways to combat loneliness.
F1 manager
The next manager dedicated to the queen category of motorsport has appeared in all the summer events in which he has had the opportunity, and seeing how ambitious his game proposal is, we will perfectly understand the reasons. F1 manager will be playable on August 25 on PC and consoles.
The alters
11 Bit Studios, the studio behind Frostpunk and This War of Mine, makes the leap from its apocalypses to science fiction with The Alters while retaining the premise of offering a singular approach: in the game our protagonist is shipwrecked on a hostile alien world, and In order to survive, he makes the unorthodox decision to clone himself multiple times. Of course, that each clone has his own determination can play both in our favor and against us.
News from Shiro Games
Shiro Games saved all its cards for the PC Gaming Show and unleashed a great move: in addition to showing off the long-awaited Dune: Spice Wars multiplayer, Northgard expansion and Wartales co-op update, it announced two new games: Abyssals and Decarnation.
System Shock
The remake of System Shock is, in its own right, one of the most anticipated games for fans of science fiction shooters. The original remains a cult classic and that makes the new trailer one of the big draws of the PC Gaming Show.
And beware, beyond the new portion of gameplay, the presence of the game was rounded off with a short interview with the very same Warren Spector who, by the way, produced the original.
scorn
Just after -finally- setting its release date at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, scorn reappears at the PC Gaming Show with a portion of extra gameplay and a much more generous introduction to its complex and terrifying universe in terms of visuals. Quote: October 21 on PC and Xboxand will be playable at launch through Game Pass.
Deliver Us March
KeokeN Interactive and Frontier Developments reappear with a new trailer for Deliver Us Mars under their belt, and that already gives the event extra points. The science fiction adventure offers a look at its setting and its game proposal to finally remind us that we can play it on september 27 on PC and Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
win 3
Paradox Interactive has established itself as a benchmark within the strategy, and win 3 is an especially interesting proposal: we will be able to develop a nation and make its inhabitants prosper through industry, commerce and political reform in an experience that takes us from the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th.
Synergism
Synergism It may be the umpteenth management and strategy game in a fantasy and science fiction world that we have seen so far this month, but its aesthetics unabashedly inspired by Moebius comics plays totally in its favor.
Half-Life Alyx: Levitation
We close our review with a mod. Not a DLC nor an expansion, but content made by modders FMPONE and Corey Laddo for Half-Life Alyx. Of course, it must be recognized that both as an experience for virtual reality and as a shooter, what it offers Half-Life Alyx: Levitation it has an exceptional look.
