We are only a couple of weeks away from the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIand after a series of fairly successful beta tests, today a new trailer for this installment has been sharedwhich is focused on the story that awaits us.
Thanks to the fact that this is a continuation, we will see a series of elements that appeared in Modern Warfare of 2019. This time we are introduced to Al-Qatala, the terrorist group from the last game, who has managed to ally himself with various criminal organizations through throughout the world. One of these is the “Las Alamas” cartel, which is located in Mexico, a country that will play a great role in the main campaign.. This was what Patrick Kelly, one of the main managers of Infinity Ward, commented on the campaign:
“We are telling fictional stories. But they are inspired by real-world military events that shape the world we live in. This is a sensitive issue for me because with the events that are happening in the world, the war in Ukraine for example, it is important that we are sensitive in this case.”
Considering that Modern Warfare of 2019 had a great reception, with many pointing to the main campaign as one of the best aspects of this installment, many have high expectations about this sectionespecially after seeing that the stories in Cold War Y Vanguard they were not to the liking of all the players.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 28, 2022. On related topics, a sequel to Advanced Wars could be in the works. Similarly, PlayStation announces new collaboration with Call of Duty.
