Just as expected, Todd Howard took to the main stage of the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase to take a new look at Starfield. Although the game was delayed until 2023, the new trailer makes it clear that this will be one of the best experiences Bethesda has created thus far.
What we saw today is one of the first sections of the game, where we have the opportunity to explore a new planet, Kreet. Here you can see how the camera switches from first person to third person without problems. Likewise, the way in which resources are generated is appreciated, as well as a combat section that involves a group of space pirates.
Afterwards, we are presented with an exploration section where we have the opportunity to tour a city, and talk with members of Constellation, one of the few organizations of space explorers. Alongside this, Howard gave us our first look at character customization, which goes beyond your visual style, as this will affect your customization as well. Similarly, there is an extensive skill tree, as well as a crafting system.
And if that was not enough, it is also possible to build space bases, space ships, select your team, and modify every little element. From color, through weapons, shields, turbines, and more. This makes clear the high level of customization that Starfield have. Along with this, it has been confirmed that the game has the ability to explore space and engage in space combat.
Howard has mentioned that over a thousand planets can be fully explored. Starfield will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC sometime in 2023.
