Xbox Game Studios has all kinds of experiences in development to add to the Xbox family of consoles for years to come. One of the most anticipated is, without a doubt, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, the second installment of a franchise that began in 2017 and has evolved a lot since then. Now the co-founder of Ninja Theory, Tameem Antoniades, has assured that Hellblade 2 will make the first look like an indie game. A complete declaration of intent about what the British studio intends to achieve in this second part of the saga.
“The goal with Hellblade 2 is not to perfect it, but to create a experience that feels more believable and refined. His ambition in terms of scale is higher. I think Hellblade 2 will make Hellblade looks like a standalone game”, Antoniades commented. An opinion that, in reality, is quite in line with what happened, since Ninja Theory was theoretically an independent studio at the time of launching Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, despite the fact that on a graphic and technical level the video game starring Melina Juergens looked , at least, of double A work.
The most wanted games for Xbox that do not yet have a release date
Antoniades has also briefly explained why Ninja Theory’s emphasis on capture locations, objects and faces of real life for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2: “The idea is credibility, to make things seem real or believable, and the best way to do it is to base everything on real things,” he explained in an interview granted to NME. Remember that Hellblade 2 is still no planned release datebut we recently had the opportunity to see its first impressive gameplay, which makes us have even higher expectations when it arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
