Health strategies should promote healthy eating, exercise and control anxiety, to maintain well-being. This is how the chances of facing comorbidities, infections and pathologies, which can be prevented and controlled, are reduced. Above all, because by knowing the risk factors and taking action to avoid them, we are creating a protective barrier for our body, which in the short term it will appreciate.
Currently, there are some risk factors that directly affect human health at any stage of life, but especially in childhood and old age. Thus, the precarious access to health services, sanitation and drinking water, become harmful agents. At the same time, so does malnutrition, unprotected sexual practices, blood pressure problems, and the use of toxic substances.
The greatest health risk is the lack of information
Know and understand the risk factors, how to prevent them and what actions to take in the event of the appearance of any symptoms that endanger the health and life of the individual. It can be a primary solution, of great value. For this reason, international organizations, together with governments, establish programs that cover a large population group, seeking to alleviate any kind of pathology that puts the quality of life at risk.

It is necessary to understand that tobacco, alcohol, junk food and a sedentary lifestyle increase the risk of developing diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and obesity. Leading to affect the arteries and heart walls. Which makes me weak and I didn’t pump my blood properly. Therefore, consuming foods rich in micronutrients and doing moderate physical activity can be the first step to preserve the vitality of this important organ.1
- The airways and lungs, are put at risk due to environmental pollution. But also, due to viruses and bacteria that are transmitted through personal contact. Therefore, following hygiene protocols, washing hands frequently and ventilating spaces are preventive measures. Likewise, hydrating, protecting yourself against changes in temperature, not self-medicating and resting are health strategies that minimize the dangers of contracting diseases.2
- The kidneys, eliminate waste from our body. Therefore, you have to take care of them. Eating healthy foods, avoiding sedentary lifestyle and leaving alcohol aside. Likewise, you must maintain a healthy weight. to avoid diabetes, obesity and their associated pathologies. Likewise, salt intake should be lowered; as; reduces the ability of this organ to remove water.3
As we can see, taking control of our health is not a daunting task and only requires a little will, discipline and action. In addition, if it seems like a complicated job, today there are health professionals and therapists. As nutritionists, nutritionists, psychologists, personal trainers and nutritional coaching, they will help through different techniques to take care of health, with a healthy diet and physical activity, according to the conditions and needs of each individual.
