It is common for some babies to try the bottle no longer want in the womb. But why does this happen? Find out.
If the bottles given to the baby in the nursery are not breast milk and, therefore, the child takes fewer feedings, the production of breast milk decreases, because the breast only produces the milk that is demanded. In this case it is important that the mother express milk to take to school.
Otherwise, how can you prevent the child from stopping breastfeeding? In principle, not giving you anything else.
It is evident that we are not facing a lactation strike (in which for various reasons a baby refuses to suck, and goes hours and hours without taking anything and loses weight and can even become dehydrated, and there is no other choice but to get rid of milk and give it in another way), but the child sometimes eats and sometimes not. It seems that what is most influencing is the comfort represented by the bottle (you have to suck less), in that case you do not have to give any bottle at home. If you don’t want a breast, you will want it later. But it is not about punishing him without eating much less: if he is really hungry, he will eat.
It would also be convenient for the nursery to stop giving him a bottle, to give him milk in a glass. Of course, that represents more time, they still don’t want to do it.
If you leave home…
The most recommended is to distribute the milk in as many bottles as you take the baby. These must carry a label with the date of consumption. To avoid contaminating the milk, they must be transported refrigerated in a small portable refrigerator with ice.
